TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of Service for services provided by Lau Art

I - PURPOSE
These terms cover the provisions of services, such as drawing commissions, by Lau Art.
II - PRICES
The prices of our products are indicated in euros (€), including all taxes, unless otherwise stated, and excluding shipping fees.
For orders to countries outside mainland France, customs duties or other local taxes, import duties, or state taxes may apply. These charges and fees are not the responsibility of Lau Art. They will be at your expense and are your full responsibility, both in terms of declarations and payments to the relevant authorities and organizations in your country. We recommend that you inquire about these matters with your local authorities.
Lau Art can change its prices at any time, but you will be charged based on the price at the time your commission is confirmed.
The products remain the property of Lau Art until full payment is received.
Note: Once you physically take possession of the ordered products, the risks of loss or damage to the products are transferred to you.
III - ORDERING A COMMISSION
You can contact me via email, on social medias or via the contact form on this website to place an order.
During our first conversation, we will talk about your project (traditional or digital commission, reference picture(s), size of the artwork*…). I will ask you a few questions in order to understand your project and to set an appropriate price.
*Sizes available:
A5: 14,8 x 21 cm
A4: 21 x 29,7 cm
A3: 29,7 x 42 cm
Please note that :
A good quality reference picture is required for realistic drawings. There can also be multiple references depending on the project.
I am allowed to refuse a commission if I am not comfortable with the request.
IV - ORDER CONFIRMATION
The order will be validated upon acceptance of the quote and reception of a 50% deposit of the total commission price.
Confirming an order means you fully and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions of Service, without exception or reservation.
You declare that you are fully aware of this. The validation of the quote will be considered as a signature and acceptance of the Terms of Service. You acknowledge having read and understood them.
V - PAYMENT
50% of the total commission price must be paid before I start working on it. This deposit is not refundable if I already started the drawing.
The finished piece will be delivered once I receive the remaining 50% = when the full payment is completed. I will let you know when I get close to finishing your commission so we can arrange that.
Until then, you will get several updates of the drawing.
Payment is to be made via Paypal.
VI - CHANGES AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The first update that I will send you will be a sketch of your commissioned artwork. If you want any big change to be done, this is the time to let me know.
Concerning traditional art, no more big changes (such as placement) can be done after the sketch has been approved.
Concerning digital art, minor changes can be done after the sketch has been approved but please note that if I have to make more than 3 changes you will be charged to 15€ per change depending on the request, as the artwork would take me more time than we had planned.
Any additional service (such as an extra drawing / Illustration that was not mentioned during our first exchange) will require an additional quote. Therefore, I will also charge for it.
VII - DELIVERY
Digital commissions are usually sent via email. If you want to get a physical print of it, you will have to pay for additional shipping fees.
Shipping costs will vary depending on where you live. These will be calculated and added to the initial price after our first discussion. Shipping fees will be stated on quotes and incomes.
A4 and A5 commissions are shipped in a cellophane bag, inside a cardboard enveloppe with a “DO NOT BEND” sticker on it. Moreover the drawing is wedged with a solid cardboard to prevent bending.
A3 commissions are shipped in a cellophane bag, inside a cardboard tube.
Your commission will be delivered to the address provided during the ordering process, within the timeframe communicated at that moment. If there is a shipping delay, we will notify you regarding any potential impact on the estimated delivery date.
Once the commission is sent, it is no longer my responsibility but the responsibility of the post company. I am not responsible for eventual damages during transport or damages caused from any delays beyond my control.
I am not responsible either for eventual delays caused by customs.
In case of delivery by carrier, I can not be held responsible for delivery delays solely due to the cusomer’s unavailability after multiple proposals.
VIII - EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
In accordance with Article L.121-21-8 of the French Customer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
the supply of goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
Commissions are neither returned nor exchanged.
IX - REPRODUCTION AND RESALE
Commissioned works are for personal use only: it is strictly forbidded to reproduce them, sell them, use them for commercial use, make merch out of them, etc. You can use your commission for personal purposes only.
If you want to use your commission as your profile picture / banner on any social media, please let me know before you do and credit me. Do not claim it as your own.
I reserve the right to sue the customer if these rules are not respected.
